This soldering tip cleaner is made of low abrasive brass shavings that clean soldering iron tips better than conventional sponges. No water necessary and is ideal for lead-free solder as tip temperature is kept constant. The holder is made of metal and is a compact size, measuring 2.3 inches wide and about 1 inch tall (1.5 inches with the coiled brass sponge inside). It features padded feet and includes a small suction cup that can be used to help keep the holder in place on flat surfaces. Note: Rather than wiping, remove excess solder from the tip by thrusting the tip into the brass shavings.
