- INSTALLATION TIPS: Cleaning and properly prepping your replacement window is imperative before you install your trim. Use these tips to help achieve the best results for optimum contact and less failure.
- Tip 1. Make sure the trim always has 3/4" of adhesive contact on the window frame.
- Tip 2. Though our adhesive is water-resistant, vinyl surfaces must be free of dust, oil, and moisture to create the strongest bond.
- Tip 3. Apply a final bead of caulking to achieve permanent seal between the trim and drywall. If the gap the trim is covering exceeds 1", be sure to use a quality elastomeric sealant to hold trim to drywall.
